COMMERCIAL / INSTITUTIONAL

Commercial projects include retail centers, office buildings, restaurants, hotels, theme parks, and related projects. Institutional commissions include civic centers, libraries, hospitals, churches, schools, colleges, and universities.

CREATING PUBLIC SPACES

Through creative hardscape design and landscaping BGB creates exciting and memorable outdoor environments in commercial, institutional, and public sector projects.

Project shown to right is Providence Center in Fullerton, CA.  It features medical office buildings, a specialty retail / restaurant plaza, and a 4 story parking structure located adjacent to St. Jude Medical Center.  Design elements include public seating areas, a fountain plaza, outdoor dining, and specialty paving.  Features also include a dramatic landscape palette and project identification graphics / signage.

CREATING HARMONY

As landscape architects we strive to amplify and enhance the architectural character of each project through site design elements that create strength, balance, and harmony.

South Street Cerritos Center

A new specialty shopping and dining complex in downtown Cerritos.  Design features include pedestrian and vehicular accent paving, decorative fountains, street furniture, and accent lighting.

Our opportunity, as designers, is to learn how to handle the complexity, rather than shy away from it…and to realize that the art of design is to make complicated things simple.
